Gabby Adcock hails atmosphere in England Commonwealth Games camp

Gabby Adcock praises the "really good atmosphere" in Team England's camp ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Badminton competitor Gabby Adcock has stated that there is a "really good atmosphere" among Team England's competitors ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The 24-year-old, who won bronze four years ago in Delhi, will compete in the mixed doubles event with her husband Chris Adcock in Glasgow.

"There's a really good atmosphere in the village," Adcock told reporters on the eve of the Games' opening ceremony. "We're really enjoying it, and looking forward to when everyone's here.

"The village is really well run and organised and everything has been amazing. I feel well prepared. We're going for a hit in the main hall tonight so that's quite important to get a grasp of the venue.

"Everyone is so nice within the team. When it starts and the medal table gets going, that'll be an even better atmosphere, so I'm looking forward to it getting started and walking around the village and hearing who's won what."

The first badminton event takes place on Thursday at the Emirates Arena.
