James Harden scored 54 points as the Houston Rockets overpowered the Magic 130-107 in Orlando.
It was the fourth time in his last seven games that Harden has scored 50 or more, and his fifth overall this season.
"I just want to win," Harden told reporters after the game. "Whatever it takes."
Russell Westbrook added 23 points for the visitors in a win that leaves Houston 17-8 and in fourth place in the Western Conference.
The Philadelphia 76ers have now won 14 straight games at home after beating the New Orleans Pelicans 116-109.
Tobias Harris was the top scorer for the Sixers with 31 points, the 13th time this season he has scored 20 or more.
Ben Simmons got 24 points and 11 assists and Joel Embiid tallied 24 points and 11 rebounds in what was the Sixers' fifth successive win.
The LA Lakers solidified their lead at the top of the Western with a 113-110 win over the Miami Heat.
It was the Heat's first home loss of the season and the Lakers' 13th away win – Los Angeles have lost just once on the road.
Anthony Davis scored a game-high 34 points for the Lakers and LeBron James added 28 points, as well as 11 assists and nine rebounds.
Elsewhere, the Indiana Pacers improved to 17-9 by beating the Atlanta Hawks 110-100.
The Charlotte Hornets won their third consecutive game, beating the Chicago Bulls 83-73.
And the Milwaukee Bucks have now won 17 in a row after defeating the Grizzlies 127-114 in Memphis.
In the other games, the Utah Jazz beat the Golden State Warriors 114-106, the Sacramento Kings lost 101-103 at home to the New York Knicks and the LA Clippers won 124-117 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
