Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is reportedly attempting to gather assets in order to make a run at Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love.
The power forward was thought to be close to securing a move to the Golden State Warriors prior to the Draft, but after that opportunity passed him by, the Celtics could now benefit.
Ainge is convinced that he is capable of putting together a package that will entice Timberwolves president Flip Saunders in letting his star player leave, the Boston Globe reports.
It is expected that Ainge will offer a combination of future Draft picks along with some talented young players from their current roster in order to pair Love with point guard Rajon Rondo.
