Gerald Wallace undergoes knee, ankle surgeries

Boston Celtics forward Gerald Wallace undergoes surgery on his left knee and ankle, ruling him out for up to four months.

Gerald Wallace has undergone surgery on his left ankle and knee, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

The Boston Celtics forward tore his meniscus last month, while also developing bone spurs in his ankle.

Head coach Brad Stevens told EPSN: "The report that I got from [team trainer] Ed Lacerte was that they did both, the ankle and the knee, and that both went well."

It is expected that Wallace will need three to four months to recover from the surgery.
