Brooklyn Nets veteran Joe Johnson is reportedly "pumped" after the organisation opted to buy out and waive former point guard Deron Williams.
The Nets have also tried to move Johnson, but with Williams gone the plan has shifted to keep him and the team expect a bounce-back season, according to Nets Daily.
Johnson is entering the last year of his own contract, and it is unclear at this stage as to whether the Nets will be offering him an extension.
The former Atlanta Hawks guard averaged 14.4 points per game last season, hitting 35% from beyond the arc and with a true shooting percentage of 52.3%.
