Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker has been cleared to resume basketball activities and is moving closer to making a return to competitive action.
Walker underwent surgery on his left knee in January to repair a torn lateral meniscus, and was expected to miss up to six weeks of play.
"I'm excited. I've been anxious," Walker told the media.
"I've been working hard trying to get back to competing with my teammates. And I got some great news, so I'm excited."
The 24-year-old is aiming for a return in either a home game against the Sacramento Kings next Wednesday or against the Chicago Bulls on March 13.
