Miami Heat overcome Chicago Bulls in 107-95 victory

The Miami Heat get their NBA season off to a winning start with a 107-95 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Miami Heat got their NBA campaign off to a victorious start as they overcame Chicago Bulls 107-95 at the American Airlines Arena on the opening night of the season.

The Heat collected their NBA rings for winning last year's Championship before the game and both LeBron James and Shane Battier stepped up to the plate for their side.

James recorded a total of 17 points, while Battier completed all four of his three-point attempts in the game.

The Bulls were left frustrated early on as key man Derrick Rose, making his return after 18 months out injured, was only able to notch 12 points in 34 minutes as his side finished behind in the first two quarters, leaving the Heat to grab an advantage of 17-15 and 37-18 respectively.

The Bulls edged the final two quarters 25-24 and and 37-29, but Heat had done enough to earn an impressive opening-day victory.
