Cleveland Cavaliers star Mike Miller has been ruled out indefinitely after he was diagnosed with concussion-like symptoms following the team's win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night.
Miller left the game with just minutes remaining and was placed in the NBA's concussion protocol, according to team officials.
"We got to take a good look at Mike Miller after the game. He took a shot to the head and hopefully everything is okay. We'll see," coach David Blatt told reporters.
The issue arose after the 34-year-old was struck in the head inadvertently by Carmelo Anthony as Miller was called for an offensive foul for sticking out his leg to draw contact.
However, he missed his only shot of the game and was scoreless in 11 minutes of action off the bench as the Cavaliers confirmed that he will sit out Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors.
