The Cleveland Cavaliers and Tristan Thompson are still way apart on agreeing terms on a long-term deal, according to a report.
The Cavaliers have re-signed LeBron James, Kevin Love and Iman Shumpert during the off-season and have tried their utmost to tie down Thompson to a new deal.
David Blatt's men have offered the 24-year-old a five-year contract worth $80m (£51.5m), but the forward is holding out for a maximum deal in the region of $94m (£60.3m), reports ESPN.
Thompson is prepared to sign a one-year qualifying offer of $6.9m (£4.3m) if a deal cannot be reached by next week, which would enable him to test free agency at the end of next season.
Thompson averaged 8.5 points per game for the Cavaliers last season.
