The Dallas Mavericks have completed the signing of centre-forward Amar'e Stoudemire, the team has announced.
Stoudemire ended his four-and-a-half-year association with the New York Knicks, who have the league's worst record, in order to chase a first NBA title.
Stoudemire told the Mavericks website: "I'm excited to be a part of a first-class organisation. To play alongside Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and other great players, I think it's a tremendous opportunity for me to compete for a championship."
Reports suggest that the 32-year-old has signed a one-year contract on a veteran minimum, although the team haven't said how long his deal is for.
