Former Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks center Dikembe Mutombo has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as one of 11 members of the class of 2015.
Mutombo, famed for his shot-blocking ability, played 18 NBA seasons and was an eight-time All-Star and four-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Louis Dampier, Spencer Haywood, John Isaacs, Lisa Leslie and Jo Jo White are the other players included on the list.
Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari is one of three coaches to be inducted along with Lindsay Gaze and Tom Heinsohn, while referee Dick Bavetta and contributor George Raveling complete the class.
