Golden State Warriors acquire Jason Thompson from Philadelphia 76ers

The Golden State Warriors seal a trade deal for Philadelphia 76ers forward Jason Thompson by sending Gerald Wallace in exchange.

The Golden State Warriors have completed a trade deal for Philadelphia 76ers forward Jason Thompson.

The move comes days after the Warriors traded David Lee to the Boston Celtics and received Gerald Wallace and Chris Babb in exchange.

However, Steve Kerr's men have used Wallace as part of the deal to acquire Thompson from the 76ers, while they also sent over $1m (£640,000) in cash to Brett Brown's side.

Thompson was only recently acquired by Philadelphia from the Sacramento Kings, and the 29-year-old averaged 6.1 points per game in the 2014-15 season.
