Dwight Howard has described his tussle with Kobe Bryant in the Houston Rockets' opening game of the new NBA season as "stupid".
The center elbowed the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard in the face in the fourth quarter of the 108-90 win, leading to a scuffle between the two players which had to be broken up by their teammates.
After the game, the 28-year-old told reporters: "What do y'all want me to say, because I'm not [going] to give y'all nothing. It's stupid. We won the game.
"It's over with. I mean, there's no need to go into it. We won the game. It's about basketball. I mean it's over with. It's nothing. I'm not even focused on it."
Howard left the Lakers in 2013 before joining the Rockets as a free agent.
