NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors thrash Atlanta Hawks

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors held on to the best record in the league as they cruised to victory over their nearest rivals the Atlanta Hawks.

The Western Conference leaders looked the stronger from the start against the Eastern Conference pace-setters, with Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala adding 46 between them to keep the Warriors ahead throughout the second half.

The Cleveland Cavaliers recovered from a slow start to clinch a comfortable win over the Brooklyn Nets.

The visitors opened up a 13-point lead early on, but the Cavaliers fought back with a 30-8 run before the break, sharing the workload as seven players made it into double figures.

The San Antonio Spurs bounced back from defeat to the New York Knicks with a convincing win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tony Parker and Tim Duncan ensured that the NBA champions opened up a lead in the first half, while Danny Green kept the points coming in the second half to make sure that the Spurs took the victory.

The Chicago Bulls sealed an easy win over the Indiana Pacers to keep the team fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Nikola Mirotic scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half as the home side built on their narrow lead, giving them their first victory in three outings.

The Los Angeles Clippers picked up their fourth win in six outings as they eased past the Sacramento Kings.

Chris Paul led the scoring with 30, while Hedo Turkoglu added five three-pointers in his season-high 19 as he started just his second game of the campaign.

The Oklahoma City Thunder held off a strong finish from the Boston Celtics to claim victory in their clash at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Russell Westbrook, who finished the game with 36 points, added a string of shots at the start of the third quarter to put the hosts ahead, before adding a couple more baskets late on to halt Boston's comeback, ending the visitors' five-game winning streak.

The Miami Heat came from behind to clinch a narrow win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

Dwyane Wade led the late comeback, scoring 15 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, including a jump shot inside the final 15 seconds to put the Heat ahead.

The Toronto Raptors picked up their third win in five games as the Minnesota Timberwolves slipped behind late on.

DeMar DeRozan struggled early on, missing 10 of his 14 shots, but his 12 efforts from the free-throw line kept the Raptors in the game before Jonas Valanciunas added a late run of points.

The Orlando Magic fell just short as they attempted to come from behind late on in their game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Dirk Nowitzki helped the Mavericks open up a big lead in the first half before Elfrid Payton tried to get the visitors back into contention, but he missed a chance to put Orlando ahead inside the final 30 seconds.

The Washington Wizards extended their unbeaten run to five game with a closely-fought victory over the Utah Jazz.

There was little between the two sides throughout, but John Wall put the Wizards six points up inside the final three minutes, ending Utah's run of six straight wins.

The Philadelphia 76ers ended their four-game losing streak after putting in a strong fourth-quarter performance against the Detroit Pistons.

The Sixers edged ahead in the first half before Kentavious Caldwell-Pope brought Detroit back into the game, but Jason Richardson made sure the hosts remained in front.
