Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin admits that he is hoping for a quick resolution following the controversy surrounding team owner Donald Sterling.

Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin has admitted that he is hoping for a quick resolution following the controversy surrounding team owner Donald Sterling.

Clippers owner Sterling has been handed a $2.5m fine and a lifetime ban from the NBA, following apparent racists remarks made in a private conversation.

"Personally, I think the longer it lasts, the worse it's going to be," Griffin said, according to ESPN.

"I think something should happen and I think it should happen quickly. I think guys need to make decisions.

"I don't think anybody wants this to drag out except for one or two people. I think it needs to be swift."

The Clippers lost at the semi-final stage of the playoffs this season.
