Strong finish gives Los Angeles Clippers win

The Los Angeles Clippers win their first game in three attempts to extend their lead in the NBA's Pacific Division.

A strong second-half performance has helped the Los Angeles Clippers to a 101-81 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The home side had more chances in the opening half, but an improved defensive display from the Clippers ensured that they reached half time just two points down.

The team split the workload, with Chris Paul scoring 15 points, before Darren Collison and Jamal Crawford came off the bench to do the same as LA surged ahead, outscoring the Grizzlies 61-39 after the break.

Kosta Koufos and Mike Conley had led the Memphis charge, but Zach Randolph struggled on his return from toe surgery, making just four of his 13 shots.

The result ends a two-game slide for the Clippers, leaving them two wins clear of the Golden State Warriors at the top of the Pacific Division, while the Grizzlies sit bottom in the Southwest.
