The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly denied that Byron Scott has signed a four-year contract to become the team's new coach.
The former Lakers shooting guard was believed to have penned the deal earlier today, with the 53-year-old telling the media that it felt "fantastic" to be appointed to the role.
However, a team source has reportedly told ESPN that the deal has not yet been finalised.
The Lakers need a new coach after Mike D'Antoni resigned following the conclusion of the regular season in April.
