Mike Conley has attributed his recent strong form to simply trying to help the Memphis Grizzlies win.
The point guard scored 27 points in the team's 99-89 win over the Sacramento Kings last night, leaving him with an average of 20 points per game in January.
The 26-year-old told reporters: "I won't let it bother me at all if I don't make it. It's something I can't control. If it happens, it happens. I'm just playing ball right now. I'm playing at a high level and doing what my team needs me to do to do. I'm just playing to win.
"I thought our defense was the key. There are very good offensive team that can score in bunches and has a lot of firepower. We're getting two, three, four stops in a row. We're not a high-octane team. But our defense is always consistent."
The Grizzlies have won their last four games.
