Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade could return from injury to face the New York Knicks on Sunday, according to team sources.
Wade has missed the last seven straight games with a hamstring strain, with the Heat going 3-4 in his absence as Mario Chalmers received additional minutes in his place.
However, the three-time NBA champion is reportedly making progress in his recovery with his hamstring and he has targeted Sunday's game for his comeback, according to the Sun Sentinel.
Wade averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 45.5% from three-point range before picking up the injury, with the Heat's offense 8.8 points better per 100 possessions when he is on the court.
Miami are currently 8-7 for the season which sees them sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, although they have been inconsistent over their last 10 games with a 5-5 record.
