The Miami Heat could be looking to make a move for potential free agent Carmelo Anthony, should the player decide not to extend his current deal with the New York Knicks.
Anthony is thought to have until June 23 – a week before he becomes a free agent – to tell the Knicks whether or not he decides to exercise the final year of his contract.
ESPN.com reports that Knicks coach Phil Jackson is doing his best to urge Anthony to opt for next season's $23.3m (£13.7m) player option.
It is thought that Anthony could also have other options open at the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks.
