Milwaukee Bucks name Jason Kidd as new coach

Jason Kidd becomes the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks after just one year in charge of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Milwaukee Bucks have officially hired Jason Kidd to be their new head coach after completing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire him.

As part of the deal to sign Kidd, the Bucks sent the Nets two second-round picks, one in the 2015 Draft and the other in 2019.

Milwaukee fired Larry Drew on Monday after he could only manage a 15-67 record last year, the worst in the league, as they look to make improvements for next year.

Kidd went 44-38 in his only season as Brooklyn coach, and after being denied control of basketball operations he was given permission to talk to other teams.
