The Minnesota Timberwolves will have the first pick in this year's NBA Draft after winning the annual lottery on Tuesday night.
It is the first time in the franchise's history that they have secured the first pick, but it came as no surprise after they entered the lottery with the highest chance of earning the first selection.
Karl-Anthony Towns, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell and Emmanuel Mudiay are considered the four best prospects in this year's Draft, and the Timberwolves are reported to be considering taking Kentucky star Towns at the ceremony on June 25 in Brooklyn.
The New York Knicks were only behind the Timberwolves for the best chance of picking first, but they slipped down to fourth as the Los Angeles Lakers earned the second pick and the Philadelphia 76ers landed the third selection.
