Western Conference leaders San Antonio Spurs eased to their fourth victory in a row by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-86 on Sunday night.
San Antonio were dealt a blow in the second quarter of the game when Danny Green was forced off the court after injuring his finger to add to their growing injury problems, with Tiago Splitter and Manu Ginobili already watching on from the sidelines.
However, Kawhi Leonard produced a strong display in the second half by scoring 13 of his 17 points after the interval to hand the control to the Spurs.
The home bench provided good support to the starting team, while experienced duo Tony Parker and Tim Duncan combined for 29 points cruised to their 15th home win of the campaign.
Nikola Pekovic scored 22 points for the Timberwolves, but his contribution failed to make an impact on the final result.
