The New Orleans Pelicans have confirmed that Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the season with a back problem.
The forward sat out the team's last game with soreness in his back, having been struggling with spasms for the last week.
The club's doctor believes that Davis, who has averaged 20.8 points per game this season, needs another week or two of rest to allow the injury to heal, ruling him out of the team's final four games.
The Pelicans have also announced that Eric Gordon will undergo knee surgery after missing the last 10 games with tendinitis.
