The New York Knicks are reportedly due to meet with forward Carmelo Anthony as they bid to convince the player to remain with the team.
Anthony will become one of the NBA's hottest tickets this summer after deciding to entertain offers. However, NBA.com states that the Knicks are proposing talks to offer him a new big-money deal.
It is expected that New York's team president Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills will be present at the meeting, though there are no plans for chairman James Dolan to attend.
As well as the Knicks, other teams including the Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks are rumoured to be interested in the player's signature.
