Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has been crowned the NBA's 2013-14 Most Valuable Player.
It is the first time that Durant, 25, has won the award.
He convincingly beat LeBron James of the Miami Heat, who has won it in four of the last five seasons, with 119 out of 125 first-place votes.
Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah and Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden completed the top five.
Durant led the league in scoring this season with an average of 32 points per game while also contributing 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists for the Thunder, who finished in second spot in the Western Conference with a record of 59 wins and 23 losses.

Durant's Thunder squeezed past the Memphis Grizzlies in a deciding seventh game in the first round of the playoffs.
They are now up against the LA Clippers in the Western semi-finals and went down 122-105 in last night's game one.
