The Denver Nuggets recorded their first victory of the NBA season on Thursday night thanks to a 109-107 triumph over the Atlanta Hawks.
Ty Lawson recorded 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds to secure success for his team following three losses in a row.
A confident start from the Nuggets in front of their own supporters saw them move into a nine-point lead at one stage in the first half.
The Hawks hit back after the half-time interval as Paul Millsap, who scored 29 points, started to make an impact for the visitors.
Denver fell behind early in the fourth quarter but a couple of jump shots from Ty Lawson gave them a 107-102 lead with just over a minute left on the clock.
Millsap missed a crucial shot which would have forced overtime with 1.9 seconds left in the game, and Al Horford failed to convert the rebound as the Nuggets held on for a tense win.
