Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay has insisted that he wants to concentrate on his basketball and approach contract talks when the time is right.
The Kings' star player recently made the decision to continue with the side during the 2014-2015 campaign, with the forward still eligible for a further extension with the franchise next summer.
"We started [negotiations] before I went to Spain with the USA team, stopped and haven't picked it up yet," said Gay, according to the Sacramento Bee.
"It's something that I really don't need over my head right now. I'm trying to make this team better and also be better myself. And I didn't need it over there. That's something that I think will handle itself."
The Kings get their new campaign underway on October 29 when they face the Golden State Warriors.
