San Antonio Spurs veteran Tim Duncan has confirmed that he will return to play in the NBA next season.
The 39-year-old will play in his 19th season in the NBA, and will chase his sixth championship ring with the organisation.
"Finally had a chance to talk with [Spurs coach Gregg Popovich]," Duncan told the San Antonio Express-News.
"I'll be on the court next year."
Duncan averaged 13.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last season, and has now competed in 1,572 games and 241 contests in the post-season.
