San Antonio Spurs re-sign veteran Matt Bonner

San Antonio Spurs veteran Matt Bonner agrees to a new one-year deal with the organisation.

The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have re-signed veteran Matt Bonner to a one-year deal ahead of the new season.

Bonner is the longest-tenured player at the franchise outside of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

The 35-year-old has spent the past nine seasons in San Antonio, playing in 602 games while averaging 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Coach Gregg Popovich has highlighted Bonner's value in his experience and ability to spread the floor, while shooting 41.2% from beyond the arc over his career with the Spurs.
