Trey Burke has been cleared to take part in solo basketball drills following surgery to repair his fractured finger.

The Utah Jazz point guard underwent the operation last month after breaking his right index finger during a pre-season game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The team confirmed that the 2013 first-round Draft pick met with his surgeon earlier this week, and will continue physical therapy as well as strength and conditioning work before meeting with the doctor again later this month.

The Jazz also released Jamaal Tinsley, who was signed as cover for Burke.
