Paul Pierce has hinted that he could stay with the Washington Wizards beyond the end of his current deal in the capital.
The Wizards signed the veteran to a two-year deal last summer and his experience has played a key role in the progress of backcourt duo John Wall and Bradley Beal, and Pierce admits that he is enjoying his time with the franchise.
"It's been nothing but love from the time I got off the airplane in the summer," the 37-year-old told Comcast SportsNet.
"I feel like even if it's one year, two years, or three years I'm here, I feel like I'm going to have a relationship with these guys for a long, long time even after basketball. It seems like we connect, and I connected with the city."
Pierce has a player option on the second year of his deal, and he could test free agency in the summer.
