England's Scott Fitzgerald moves into the final of the -69kg class after comfortably beating Tulani Mbenge.

England boxer Scott Fitzgerald has progressed into the final of the -69kg category at the Commonwealth Games after beating Tulani Mbenge tonight.

The 22-year-old won every round to down his South African counterpart and head into Saturday's gold-medal match, guaranteeing himself at least a silver.

The Preston local is one of four English to have put themselves in contention for a gold, following Qais Ashfaq, Savannah Marshall and Joe Joyce into the finals - the latter of whom was given a bye.

Fitzgerald will face India's Mandeep Jangra in tomorrow's final.
