Ukraine's Denys Berinchyk has fought back to deny Mongolia's Munkh-Erdene Uranchimeg a place in the light welterweight final.

Uranchimeg made a good start and was picking Berinchyk off as he came inside. The Ukrainian was being frustrated and outworked by his opponent, and fell 6-4 behind.

The Mongolian continued to work well with the counter punches in the second round as Berinchyk continued to apply pressure. He put some snappy combinations together, working well to the body and head.

Berinchyk trailed by three points heading into the final round, but all of a sudden he started to find his range. A powerful right-left burst forced a standing count.

The Ukrainian was battling hard and the referee had to intervene once against after Uranchimeg was wobbled by another heavy blow.

Uranchimeg was out on his feet in the dying seconds as Berinchyk continued to bomb forward looking to end the fight.

In the end, the judges scored the bout 29-21 to Berinchyk.
