Enzo Calzaghe has claimed that it is "obvious" Freddie Roach has no backup plan for Amir Khan.
The Bolton fighter was defeated by Danny Garcia in Las Vegas last Saturday and is now looking to get his career back on track.
Enzo, the father and trainer of his son Joe Calzaghe, has revealed that he would be interested in working with Khan. The legendary trainer, who has recently had his coaching licence reinstated, believes that Roach has used a Calzaghe style of training, which has not worked for the 25-year-old.
"You watch Amir and the reason he got knocked out is his feet are constantly in the air, he's constantly bouncing behind his shots and that's what Joe [Calzaghe] used to do," said the 63-year-old.
"But Amir should be planting his feet and that's obvious, but Freddie Roach doesn't have a plan B for Amir and that's equally obvious.
"He is almost copying Joe's style and he shouldn't. I'd love to share my ideas with Amir and if he speaks to me I think he'll realise we could get him back to where he wants to be."
Calzaghe was in his son's corner for all of his 46 unbeaten fights.
