British heavyweight David Price has revealed that he will return to action on July 17 when he attempts to win the European title.
Earlier this month, Price was ruled out of an appearance in Liverpool with a neck injury, but with the problem only expected to keep him sidelined for a couple of weeks, a date has been agreed to face Erkan Teper.
The 31-year-old said: "This is an absolutely massive fight for me. To win the European title, and to become the first heavyweight from Liverpool to do it, would mean the world to me.
"It's something no one could ever take away from me and would confirm my credentials as a world title contender. I've watched all of Teper's fights and he is the perfect opponent for me.
"I'm 100% confident that I will win. He is exactly the type of fighter I've been looking to fight, so to do it with the European title on the line is an added bonus."
Price has won 19 of his 21 professional fights, while Teper is unbeaten in 14 outings.
