Carl Froch says that a rematch with Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler is "looking promising".

Carl Froch has said that a fight with Mikkel Kessler in 2013 is "looking promising".

Kessler stopped Brian Magee in the third round on Saturday night and 'The Cobra' believes that a rematch of their clash in April 2010 is a strong possibility.

"It's already step one complete and it is looking promising," said Froch. "The fight [with Kessler] is the only sensible thing out there for the fans and the TV."

Froch, who was working as an analyst for Sky Sports for Kessler's fight, also addressed the Dane personally, saying: "Get yourself over here because we'll give the fans what they want and give the fans a good night's work."

Froch defeated American Yusaf Mack in his last fight in November.
