Promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted that he will give Mikkel Kessler time to make a decision on his future before planning Carl Froch's next fight.
Froch secured a unanimous points victory over Kessler last month to avenge the loss that the Dane handed to him in Denmark in 2010.
The defeat for Kessler could see him retire from the sport, but after calls for a third bout to be agreed between the two fighters, Hearn has revealed that he is prepared to wait for the 34-year-old to decide on his next move.
Hearn told Matchroom Boxing: "Commercially, Froch vs. Kessler III is just a huge fight.
"The first two were stunning nights. We will give Mikkel time to see if he wants to go again."
A rematch with American Andre Ward has also been suggested for the Nottingham fighter's next bout.
