Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is anticipating a crowd of "up to 80,000" when Carl Froch defends his IBF and WBA super-middleweight titles against George Groves for a second time.
The two Brits will meet in a highly-anticipated rematch on May 31 after Groves was made mandatory challenger for Froch's IBF strap, and Hearn, who represents Froch and has previously been associated with Groves, has suggested that Wembley, Old Trafford and the Emirates Stadium are in the running to stage the bout.
Hearn told Sky Sports News: "May 31 is the preferred date for the fight. We are in discussions with six or seven football stadiums all over the country.
"This is a huge event. I believe that this is the biggest event in British boxing history, and we are looking at crowds of up to 80,000 for this fight.
"It's a dream to make this happen and over the next week, we will be closing off a deal with one of those big venues and securing what we need to cater for this fight."
Froch emerged victorious from the first encounter after he got off the canvas to controversially stop Groves in the ninth round at Manchester's Phones4U Arena.
