Amir Khan has announced that he will fight former WBA light-welterweight champion Chris Algieri in May.
The Englishman will be hoping to earn his fifth straight win when he takes on the American in New York's Barclays Centre on May 29, while Algieri will aim to bounce back from his first career defeat to Manny Pacquiao.
Khan told Sky Sports News: "I have happy memories of New York having made my successful US debut there against Paulie Malignaggi in 2010. I'm delighted to now be fighting there once again against another champion in Chris Algieri.
"Algieri has shared the ring with some tremendous fighters and shown great skills in those fights so I know I will need to be at my very best when we meet."
Khan had hoped to take on either Floyd Mayweather Jr or Pacquaio before the pair announced that they would fight each other on May 2.
