Ruslan Provodnikov has revealed that talks are underway regarding a showdown with Amir Khan in November.
Former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion Khan has not stepped into the ring since beating Chris Algieri four months ago.
However, the Englishman now appears to have decided on his next opponent after missing out on a bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"My team is taking care of the negotiations, I'm not really sure what's going on at the moment," Provodnikov told behindthegloves.com through an interpreter.
"I already came [to Las Vegas] for training camp a few days ago and I'm ready to fight anyone; whether it's him or somebody else, I'm ready to fight.
"My team has to make it happen and then I'm ready. I would be ready to fight him in Dubai or here, my team knows the details, but the fight is supposed to be in America."
Provodnikov has 24 wins and four defeats since turning pro in 2004.
