Amir Khan was taken to hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning after suffering stomach pains.
The former world champion and Olympic silver medallist has taken to Twitter to reveal that he is recovering after the health scare.
Khan tweeted: "Had worse stomach cramp last night and rushed to the hospital at 3am with @FaryalxMakhdoom. Feel ok now. Still in bed.
"Big thanks to Bolton hospital staff for looking after me well. I was meant to go to a boxing charity (Debra) was invited by Frank Warren. I'm sorry for not attending."
Khan is currently preparing for a comeback before the end of 2012 after confirming his split from trainer Freddie Roach last week.
