Irishman Andy Lee has stepped in to replace British middleweight Martin Murray on the undercard of the world super-middleweight clash between Carl Froch and George Groves.
Murray had been scheduled to face Belarus fighter Sergey Khomitsky, after his Commonwealth title bout with Australia's Garth Wood had been shelved.
However, three days before the Phones4U Arena event, the 31-year-old has been forced to withdraw with a virus, allowing Lee the opportunity to replace him in Manchester.
The 29-year-old, who will be competing in his first bout in England, has lost just twice during a 32-fight professional career.
