Andy Lee will defend his WBO middleweight title against Billy Joe Saunders at Thomond Park in Limerick on September 19.
A showdown between Lee and Saunders has been in the works ever since the Irishman won the belt against Matt Korobov in December last year.
However, the contest was put back to a later date after mandatory challenger Saunders agreed to step aside to allow Lee to face Peter Quillin in New York in April.
After Lee earned a draw against the American, that paved the way for a deal to be struck between the two camps, which has resulted in the world title clash taking place at the home of rugby union side Munster.
