Four fighters announced for London Light-middleweight Prizefighter in November

Craig McEwan, Curtis Valentine, Pater Vaughan and Navid Mansouri are confirmed as the first four names to take part in the Light-middleweight Prizefighter tournament in London on Saturday, November 3.

The first four fighters to take their place in the last Betfair Prizefighter tournament of 2012 have been confirmed.

Craig McEwan, Curtis Valentine, Pater Vaughan and Navid Mansouri will all enter the eight-man Prizefighter Light-middleweight event in London on Saturday, November 3.

McEwan is the most experienced name in the field so far, giving former world-title challenger Andy Lee a fright in Las Vegas last year over 10 rounds.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn thinks that the York Hall event looks promising following the announcement.

He said: "On the back of a great Prizefighter in Liverpool, we are going to have eight hungry guys lining up for the big prize in east London.

"Craig gave Andy Lee one hell of a fight in March 2011 and he'll be wanting to get back to that level quickly.

"Curtis showed he has some serious power by beating Ryan Aston, Mansouri is an unbeaten man ready to step-up to title level and Peter is a big ticket seller with a lot of heart who loves a tear-up so fireworks are guaranteed."

The remaining four spots in the 27th installment of the popular Prizefighter series are still to be filled.

Manchester lightweight Terry Flannigan upset the odds to win the most recent Prizefighter competition in Liverpool last weekend.
