Former IBF bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell will return to the ring at Manchester's Phones4U Arena later this month.
McDonnell was recently stripped of his world title after failing to agree a deal to face mandatory challenger Vusi Maligna before a deadline set by the governing body.
However, the 27-year-old will begin his pursuit of a second world belt when he competes on the undercard of the IBF and WBA super-middleweight clash between Carl Froch and George Groves on November 23.
The Doncaster boxer's opponent is expected to be named next week, along with the challenger for Scott Quigg's WBA super-bantamweight strap.
