Lee Purdy vs. Carson Jones off

British welterweight Lee Purdy has announced that his fight with Carson Jones at Wembley Arena on Saturday will no longer go ahead.

Jones has been forced to pull out because of an illness, but Purdy claims that he will find another boxer for the fight.

"Just had some bad news @Carson_Jones1 has pulled out due to illness I know how he feels," he wrote on his Twitter account. "I think I have another opponent and will let you know."

Purdy and Jones were originally scheduled to fight in London in December, but on that occasion the former pulled out.
