Frank Warren and the Luxembourg Boxing Federation begin legals proceedings against the British Boxing Board of Control.

Frank Warren has begun legal proceedings against the British Boxing Board of Control over the David Haye and Dereck Chisora fight.

The controversial bout was signed off after being sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation.

The BBBofC have threatened to withdraw the licence of any promoters involved in the staging of the Upton Park show.

Both Warren and the LBF believes that this is intimidation and will now take the matter to court.

"This is not something anyone wanted to do and neither is it a step we took lightly, but we felt we were left with no option," a statement from the LBF read.

"We have issued proceedings to prevent the Board from intimidating its own members into not participating in the fight.

"The Board has admitted that it can do nothing legally to stop the fight, but it is still threatening to call its licence holders to account for their involvement."

The fight will go ahead as scheduled on July 14.
