Dillian Whyte, Lucas Browne fight announced for O2 Arena

Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn announces that heavyweights Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne will headline an event at London's O2 Arena on March 24.

Eddie Hearn has announced that a heavyweight clash between Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne will take place at London's O2 Arena.

Whyte has been looking for an opponent since failing to secure a WBC title showdown with Deontay Wilder, but the British fighter will now go up against Australian Browne on March 24.

In March 2016, Browne won a version of the WBA title but two failed drugs tests led to a period of inactivity for the 38-year-old.

Whyte will be defending the WBC silver belt which he won when outpointing Robert Helenius on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's clash with Carlos Takam in October.

The victor will put himself in line to challenge Wilder at some point within the next 12 points.
