Junior Witter: 'Ricky Hatton scared to fight me'

Junior Witter has claimed that Ricky Hatton is scared to fight him. Hatton is preparing for a comeback fight against Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko on November 24, and Sheffield native Witter believes that Hatton won't fight him out of fear.

"Ricky never wanted [the fight] before, so why would he want it now?" asked Witter.

"He's scared of me, he doesn't want the fight, there's nothing else to it.

"It's not about money, because there's plenty of money, everybody wants to see it. It's a massive fight right now, but no I don't expect it to happen, it's all on him."

Witter defends his British welterweight title against Frankie Gavin on Thursday.
